Over the 16 years I've been alive, there has been alot of old and new technology. When I was born in 1995 there was no such things as i-Pods or laptops. We had bricks as cellphones and boxes as computers. Back when I was in grade school, it was a privelege to even own a computer at your school, let alone your house. Once I was in 5th or 6th grade everyone started getting cellphones. of course they were the bricks or the flip phones. No one had an i-Phone or touchscreen or even a phone with internet. When I was in 8th grade, which was only 2 years later, more modern phones were being made. More people were getting phones and i-Pods.
I remeber to be so lucky to have got a phone in the seventh grade, most kids had thier phones by the fifth or sixth grade. Once in highschool, everyone had an i-Phone. I am still yet to get an i-Phone, but it is nice to have evolved from the tiny slide up phone to a full keyboard. Once I got into seventh grade we upgraded to a thinner moniter on the computers. Now at my current school we have computers that are only moniters and have everything built in. Its amazing how far we have come in only a few years. now we dont even have big chunky computers, we have laptops.
When I was five in 2000, I never imagined the world of technology that I would be living in 2011. Its amazing how far we've come. I can't even begin to imagine the next 15 years of technology. I wonder if we will have computers, or if we just have a all in one device. Combining phones, computers, tv's, and music in one. I'm excited to discover all the new devices. It's also amazing the technology we have in the medical field. Me, personally being a diabetic and having a pump which is electronic instead of having to take shots. Also having a meter instead of any other techniques.
In the years ahead, I can't even begin to imagine future technology. I hope the new technology is super easy and very useful, to anyone old or young. The thing that bothers me, is when the older generation can't properly operate a device. So I hope the new technology is user friendly.
